BLOGGERS QUILT FESTIVAL

This my year I am showing a quilt I made last year out of my very precious FMF and KJR fabrics by Denyse Schmidt. Believe it or not, I still haven't quilted this quilt, the reason is simply that I can't find the right fabric to use for the backing. Now with Denyse releasing her range at Spotlight hopefully next week, I should be able to find a suitable print for the back.
I chose pinwheels as I really wanted to showcase each print to it's full advantage. The small pinwheels were added at the last minute to add a little bit of quirky interest to the quilt. The scrappy border was also a last minute addition. This really was a "add as you go" quilt with no real set in concrete plan in place.

    Figure it out as you go are my favorite kind of quilts (that was the kind I entered into this virtual quilt show as well.)

    Love this, it's so colorful. That's how I quilt, add as you go. How about piecing a backing?

    The pinwheels are bright and colorful! You don't need to back it with fabric by the same designer! Try something else!

    I love pinwheel quilts, although it does my head in trying to get them going in the same direction :) love your little quirky block, just adds that something extra to it.
