It all looks lovely. Sue do you put lemon juice on your apples before putting them in the dehydrator?
ReplyDeletethanks Rose, I used to add lemon juice but now don't worry about it. The kids don't care what colour they are.
ReplyDeleteWow - you are so lucky to have apple trees! I have always wanted to try drying fruit in my dehydrator.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna, our trees are still young but producing well
DeleteWhat a pretty mug to start the day.
ReplyDeleteMy kid's never cared what color the dried fruit was either, they just ate away. My dehydrator died last year, but there are plans for a new one soon.
I love my dehydrator, it certainly gets a workout around here, I hope you get a new one soon.
DeleteI can't wait for apple and tomato season to arrive here again. Looks great!
ReplyDeletethanks Denise, I love early Autumn
DeleteMmm... thanks for sharing your week. I think we have the same dehydrator and we used it so much last fall. We are still enjoying dried apples and pears... it will be great to have them later on.
ReplyDeleteI do love my dehydrator and enjoy lots of dried fruits all year round.
DeleteI've been wanting to try dehydrating fruits for some time now... I think it would make for great snacks for my grands when they come to visit.
ReplyDeleteThey make fantastic snacks Debi, rollups are a favourite around here too
DeleteMmmm soup looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteit really was Ailsa
DeleteHow awesome that you grew those apples! I really want to get myself a dehydrator, my kids love dried fruit.
ReplyDeletemy dehydrator is one of the most used things in my kitchen, love it.
DeleteI don't have a dehydrator but with what I'm seeing here, I might miss out on something...
ReplyDeletethey are a great way to preserve excess that's for sure.
Deletei love the idea of shredded carrots in casseroles, never thought of that! (i'm guessing that is what that is.) much quicker cooking time. thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteyes Heather that is what it is. I do this for quicker cooking but also the kids don't pick it out as they do with sliced carrot sometimes.
DeleteMy post this week started with a cup of tea also! Lovely. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely way to start the day isn't it.
DeleteWhat an amazing selection of tomatoes. I love all the different colours and sizes. A couple of years ago a good blogger friend sent me some seeds from Australia for Black Russian Heritage Tomatoes. I couldn't wait for them to germinate and then the fruit appear, grow and then ripen. They looked amazing, almost too good to ear. Your soup and seed roll look scrummy...I think I need to get some lunch...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
Debx
I've been looking at getting a dehydrator - which one do you have? Any thoughts?
