Mine of course is a little brighter and I am using an off white around each block, but this is the rug that inspired me.
So, back to blocking those squares. Since I now have a few I thought it was time to start as I would hate to make up all of them (360) then spend days blocking.
I measured out 6 squares on foam board each being 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". I pinned one corner of the square then the opposite corner. The other corners were pinned the same way, then pinning one side at a time, I eased the granny into the shape I wanted.

Grannies now dry and taken from the board.
Now they look much better.

ReplyDeletetoo funny. I was watching Nanny McPhee last night, just happened upon it, and was called out to watch The Muppet Movie. I loved watching the muppets. Even impressed my kid by singing all The Rainbow Connection!! Some things stick with you. I think this will be an awesome project for you. It neat how sometimes your eye just finds something like that and sticks to it.
