I'm in love!!!!
but I will have to wait to quilt her as I can't do the quilting I want to do until I have my new machine. There will be a stack to quilt by the time I pay her off!!!! I know these fabrics aren't for everyone, but I love the artistic 'painted' backgrounds and the depth of colour in this range.
The brown borders are a linen/cotton blend.
What do think about these fabrics and my quilt, it's okay to have an opinion that doesn't match mine :)

I personally love the colors and fabrics but you know what a fan of deep rich color that I am. Reminds me of some older Kaffe Fassett fabrics I have in my collection.
ReplyDeleteI love how you kept the pieces large to show the patterns, Sue. Bet this one came together quickly! Can't wait to see it all finished up!
Oooo nice work Sue :) I was checking out these gorgeous fabrics in your earlier post and even though I don't sew I had to google Laura Gunn to see more - and love what I found!!
ReplyDeleteI really love that fabric range, It is stunning, and so is your quilt, it has showed all the fabrics off beautifully!
ReplyDeleteIt was really great to see what you've done with these fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI've just had a parcel of goodies arrive from the US that includes a full set of fat quarters in this range (plus some extra) and have been wondering where to start. It is too pretty to cut into small pieces.
Well done.
I think it's beautiful! You did such a lovely job!
ReplyDeletewhat pattern did you use on this quilt. I think I'm in love :)
