My beautiful, kind-hearted friend Monique from the Netherlands sent over this amazing parcel for me. All of the gifts are so gorgeous, I love them.

I was going to be taking my Dad and Mum over to the Netherlands in less than 2 months time, but unfortunately things did not go to plan and as my Dad has complications associated with parkinson's disease he couldn't be insured.

My Dad was born and grew up in the Netherlands and has always wanted to go back and see village he grew up in once more. I cannot tell you how upset we have been about not going as we had been planning and saving for this trip for well over a year now.

Which brings me to Monique's gift, I was planning to spend some time with her when we went over, she is the most amazing talented artist, so as we were no longer going over there, she decided to bring a little bit of Holland to us.

How sweet and thoughtful this girl is.

  1. ((hugs)) Too bad the trip isnt going to happen...maybe in the future;))
Did the kids like the "drop" or is it too salty? I could eat an entire package a day lol!

  2. OMG I wish I had a friend in Holland...I should stop at my dutch store this weekend and pick me up some 'hawckaslaw' (spelt base don pronunciation) as Opa would call it!

  3. Oh, I'm so sorry you didn't get to go on your trip and sorry about your dad's illness and how very sweet of moniqui sent you such a fantastic treat! I have relatives in the Netherlands and one day I hope to go, never been there either.

Hi, I love reading your comments and if I don't reply to all of them, please know I appreciate every one.
Have a lovely day :)
