ON A ROLL

I felt like doing something a bit different today. Mixed media facinates me, I am in awe of so many talented people out there. While my work may not be as amazing as some, I enjoy every step of creating and get a real kick out of learning a new technique and seeing how it comes out in the end.

This journal cover is made from white cotton fabric. I painted it with acrylic and lumiere metallic paints. Vines were stamped on and fabric images fused on.

The painting technique I used was to add paint on top of a sheet of glass, then put glad wrap over it and brayer. Lift the glad wrap and place on fabric and brayer again. Keep layering different coloured paint. I also used bubble wrap with this technique.
So what are your thoughts on this?

  1. Hi Sue you amaze me with your talents. I'm not sure that it's my thing but I admire what you do.
