FELTED PATCHWORK BLANKET

Well I'm in love!  I have been collecting pure wool jumpers and blankets for a few years just perfect for felting, I have had so many projects in mind for these pieces but until now they have sat in a corner of my sewing room.  Last week I start cutting the felted pieces into 7" squares and smaller rectangles and squares, I laid them all out on the floor and played with colour and design.

I even added a small pocket in one of the squares.  Did I mention I love this blanket? 

 

 It's not complete just yet as I am in the process of adding a gorgeous crochet border around the edge.

 

What an awesome winter project.
