104 HEXAGONS SITTING ON A WALL....

well a bench actually. Only 120 to go.

What am I making you ask?

In all of my years of quilting I have never made a quilt for our bed. I have been holding onto Anna Maria Horner's fabric line for a while determined to use them for our quilt. I just had to find the right pattern and yesterday Malka's new book arrived and as I flipped through it I saw the quilt I wanted to make.

The hexagons are huge and I will be sewing them all by machine using Malka's method. I'm off to cut some more.

  1. Isn't that always the way, you make quilts for everyone else and forget yourself.

I love the fabric and the quilt looks wonderful, not a grandma's flower garden in sight!
