Well I didn't quite get the last 3 pages done in my 25 days of December album, but I did scrapbook a page I've been wanting to do for ages.

The journaling reads: she dreams of flying away to where the princesses play

the frame was a bright white and pink one so I painted it with an antiquing medium, then cut out the centre so it didn't look so perfect.

The chipboard crown was painted then that and the propeller were covered in kindy gliz.
The clouds were made from white felt that was brushed with paint, I then used my heat gun to burn the felt a little.

AT OUR HOUSE

We had an early Christmas with my parents on Sunday as they will be away visiting 2 of my sisters on the big day.

This is how we spent last night, a quiet family pre-Christmas dinner.

And this is how we spent Christmas eve.

Last year is was vampire gingerbread man, this year meet Lachie's gingerbread redback spider.

May you all have a very happy Christmas, stay safe and thanks for visiting.

SO BUSY

As much as I try not to let Christmas get in the way of my craft, it really has. I am spending heaps of time with the kids now they are on holidays which is fantastic. I love school holidays, I know, you're probably saying "what the...." but I really do, I look forward to them.
Anyway, I've been a bad bad blogger and just realised that I haven't blogged in a week, I am itching to get out into my caravan and create and have something to show you all. Maybe tonight, we'll see how the day pans out.

Until then have a lovely, hopefully relaxing lead up to the big day.

TODAY'S SUPRISES

Look what finally turned up.....

We ordered our new lounge suite in the middle of September and had all but given up that we would see it before Christmas, by the way the chair is the same colour as the lounge, I had to use my flash as the weather is like the middle of winter, very dark and dreary.

Now for the quilt on the lounge, I finished the binding last night and made it for our new lounge.

Here is a closeup to try and show the gorgeous quilting that was done professionally by the amazing Julie Colbey.
This was my first time at getting a quilt professionally done and I am thrilled at the result. I do enjoy doing my own quilting and I will continue to do my own for the most part but working in a quilt shop and seeing the amazing results with Julie's quilting, I just had to try.

Here is my other suprise

Thank you Manda you are so sweet.
For those of you who don't know Manda, she has the most wicked sense of humour and is extremely talented also, I am so proud to call her my friend.

The 'Fabulous' Award Rules:

There are just so many blogs that give me inspiration and I am so grateful for people putting their lives and art out there for all to see.
