TIME FOR AN UPDATE

This has been a sad week for us, a friend passed away at age 38, he was just too young. Instead of a church service, all of his friends and family went on a trip on a boat down the Glenelg river where his ashes were scattered. What a beautiful way to see him off. That afternoon his friends gathered at a pub, it was great to catch up with the crowd I spent so much time with as a teenager and really up until we had children.
RIP Jason xxxx

To crafty things now.

I have been busy scrapbooking but can't share just yet as it is a guest designer spot for next month.

I have been stitching and making some cute keyrings to sell.

This stitchery is one of a series of seven, stay tuned to see what I do with them.

GIRLY PAMPERING

What do you do when all the boys have left the house?
Mini day spa of course.

DH has gone fishing (drinking more like it!!!), DS1 and 2 are seeing monster trucks with their cousin and it's just Sophie and me at home, time for some good old fashioned girly pampering.

Sophie was very impressed, guess who wants to do this every day???
What's keeping you busy this weekend???

WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?

Take a look..........

My acrylic and unmounted stamps have been bugging me for a while as they were shoved into a big plastic container which I would have to wade through just to find what I wanted.
Then inspiration struck!!!
CD cases. Yes it felt like it took forever to organise, but it is sooooo worth it. Now I can just flip through the cases and quickly grab what I want.

Back soon with pages from my journal from TAFE, these holidays will be spent catching up and sharing.

FORTUNATE

I've been feeling very lucky and appreciated this week. Here are my reasons:

1. I had a layout in the Blue Bazaar newsletter (that made me feel very special)
see it here then go into newsletters for April 3 2008.

2. I received an award from Gloria (check last post)

3. I was asked to be a guest contributor for How Dare You in May. This is such an inspiring site, go on have a look.

So this is why I am wearing a huge smile on my face. What's making you happy this week?

Here is another thing that is making me smile

I'm not sure what I am going to do with these linen stitcheries just yet, but I just like looking at them ATM. They were inspired by soulemama.typepad.com.

NO REST FOR THE WICKED

What a weekend it has been, Saturday I was back at our local market (I am there the first weekend of every month). I had a great time catching up with people and chatting away and I sold quite a few of my own creations as well as the TLC stuff which always makes me smile just knowing that people appreciate and like my products.

Today was huge. Daniel (No.1 son) and I had our karate gradings and I am exhausted, I love this sport so much but am now starting to feel the effects of my actions, the bruising is coming out and muscle soreness is setting in. Time for a spa bath I think.

Daniel is the blue belt, check out that kick!

I'm going to have a well deserved rest now, take care.

ps, I've been working on some stitcheries on linen for the last few days, will show you the results tomorrow.
